Any standard set of golf clubs contain multiple irons. They vary in loft angles based on which numbers are given on them. Normally, an ideal golf club set should contain the 3, 5, 7 and 9-irons. They have variations in the size of shaft and clubface. Accordingly, you will have variations in the trajectory.
Taylormade M5 irons are made for the club players. Better players make fewer mistakes in the game. Hence, they always prefer the irons that will give them higher ball speed. The M5 iron provides superior speed as well as fantastic forgiveness.
This is a unique combination because irons that offer superb ball speed are usually less forgiving. But, an iron that has both accuracy and speed is surely going to lead the market. The improvement in terms of precision will also encourage the newcomers in the game to purchase this product.

Speed Bridge Technology
There is a deeper speed pocket that is located at the bottom of the head. The structural speed bar at the back of the head connects the end of the cavity to the top line.
This technology made the face slots obsolete. So, it is not included in M5. It saves extra weight yet doesn’t affect the performance.
Speed Pocket Technology
You will be surprised to see that there is no speed pocket on the face. However, the brand advertised that the M5 iron comes with speed pocket technology. If you do not know the secret, this anomaly may confuse you and make you mad.
Well, hold your breath.
The maker has actually modified this popular feature. Now, it is shorter and comes with a thru-slot design. It lets the face flex more. Hence, you will experience better result when you hit the ball by the lower portion of the face.
As you hit the ball, the hybrar damper will work magic by improving the sound and the feel.
Compact Look (5/5)
The design is simply gorgeous. Its wide bottom and thick top edge gave it a sharp look. The edge also improves turf interaction. Now, this iron comes with a thin outline which made it more appealing at the first look.
Improved Functionality (5/5)
The speed beam stiffens the perimeters of the head by joining the areas that usually vibrate most during any impact. Thereby it initiates efficient transfer of energy from the face to the ball and improves ball speed. Its maximum deflection point is positioned to the lower end. So, when you hit the ball low on the face, it will barely drop the performance.
The ball speed is on average 128 mph. Surprisingly, the engineers have been able to reduce much of the ball spin. The ball will rotate approximately 5350 times per minute.
Taylormade’s M5 irons are more forgiving than the former models made by the maker. It is the standout feature of this product. The speed bar made the frame durable and minimized the ball spin. So, the shots are straighter. On top of that, the maker used high-density Tungsten in this product. It keeps the center of gravity at the middle of the face. Such a perfect balancing point helps increase the moment of inertia. As a result, most of your misplaced shots will stay on the track.
Whenever the manufacturers in the past tried to improve forgiveness, they had to give up some ball speed. However, this is not the case with M5 as its advancement in precision doesn’t affect the ball speed. Additionally, the forged irons will give you an additional margin of error.
Made for Him and Her (5/5)
Many golfers use an iron club from the beginning of the game. The reason is, it is more relaxed and comfortable to swing the ball with such a tool. You can start using The M5 iron right from the tee box. Specifically, when you need to send the ball to a shorter hole, this should be your primary choice.
It is easier to use this iron rather than a driver since it has a shorter shaft and clubface. So, you can effortlessly maintain the swing and the launch you desire to have.
The lofts are 0.5⁰ stronger compared to the M3. You should keep almost 4⁰ loft differences among the irons you buy. It will help you keep at least 12 yards of distance between the performances of each iron.
It has leading edge grind that reduces the turf drag and bounce. This iron feels good at the hand and the sound is now even better. The topbar reduces extra vibrations and the compression damper enhances the sound.
